Hello All (Both Sections of Sociology)

Thanks to an inquisitive student, I realized that the book I used to plan the readings and blog postings for the class is not the same one sold in the bookstore!

The one you should NOT use is the one pictured below.  It has “A Reader” in the title.

The one that you should use, and the one that is in the bookstore, is this:

meaning sociology

This does not effect you so much…moreso me because I have to change some assignments.

If you are having trouble finding this book, here is a link to it on Amazon here.

JUST REMEMBER TO GET THE 8TH EDITION!!!

By the way…what do you think of the baggy/skinny jean combo shown below?  Can we use any sociological perspective to explain ANY aspect of these jeans?

Media2Politic is an ongoing sociological project looking to understand how the values people hold effect their understanding of visual art. M2P is run by Roderick Graham, a PHD student at the City University of New York. It is also a site where students who are enrolled in classes taught by Roderick discuss sociological concepts. If you are on M2P, you are here for three reasons.

  1. If you have been asked by Roderick to complete a survey, click the survey link in the menu on the right-hand side of the screen and put in your password.
  2. If you are taking a class under Roderick at FIT, find your class link at the top of the screen for updates and for your assignment and prompt.
  3. If you are here just browsing (a small possibility), take the time to look at the postings by Roderick and the creative students at FIT, or click the “artists” link at the top of the screen to learn more about the up and coming visual artists who have contributed to this site.

Thank you - Roderick Graham
